So apparently starting today and ending in a few weeks , Rainbow Six Siege has a Starter Edition on Steam. $15 gets you the full game, but only two character unlocks, and enough R6 Coins (their currency, I guess) to unlock two more characters, giving you 4 characters total. There are 20 characters total (10 Attack and 10 Defenders) that you unlock with real money or in-game currency, much like a League or Heroes of the Storm f2p game.
The offer ends June 19th, and if you have the starter edition, you can upgrade to the 'standard edition' (which lets you unlock the characters MUCH quicker, for much cheaper) for $35. The full write-up of how things work can be read here.
Who is gonna take the leap alongside me? I've already purchased and downloaded the game, now I'm seeing which two characters I *need* to purchase to be a badass on Terrorist Hunt.
